Position Summary: Health and Human Services (HHS) provides quality continuing education for health care professionals that meet licensing requirements for nurses, social workers, counselors, registered dietitians, respiratory therapists, psychologists, physical and occupational therapists, and assisted living facility administrators. Qualified instructors are needed to develop and deliver various HHS classes. Classes are conducted in a continuing education classroom environment or live online in the morning, afternoon, or during evening sessions during the week or on weekends.
HHS instructors should be prepared to create seminars that draw from their own professional background, work experience, and from current medical and scientific reviews. These seminars should enhance the professional practice of the participants as well as offer continuing education hours for re-licensing purposes. Instructors are expected to provide quality teaching materials including documentation to substantiate teaching. Courses are to be designed to fulfill continuing education needs for several healthcare fields.
Required Qualifications:
- Active professional license (LCSW, APRN, etc.)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in professional field
- Prior teaching experience (classroom, seminars, and/or workshops)
- Experience developing seminar or workshop curriculum
- Proficiency in basic computer use
Preferred Qualifications:
- Availability to offer 2-3 weekday seminars per term
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Zoom, and other teaching software
- 5 years of experience in professional field
- Advanced degree in professional field
