Position Summary:

The Specialist position works closely with members of the Enrollment Management & Student Services team to provide enrollment, admissions, and college information and assistance to students, prospective students, staff members and the general public. The Specialist will be an experienced customer service professional who will focus on all aspects of Testing Services. Including but not limited to the following: scheduling, administer & proctor wide range of exams, such as: placements, Pearson, Scantron, CLEP, NOCTI, TSAs, and other proctored classroom tests for CWI and outside institutions. New assessments may be added at a later date. Arrange and facilitate testing accommodations, as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for maintaining effectiveness and accuracy of records throughout the lifecycle of a student.
• Participate on college committees, staff and professional meetings, and other appropriate meeting/committee assignments.
• Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and clients and actively support a team approach to accomplishing goals.
• Enter a variety of information into computer databases.
• Maintains effective working relationships with outside institutions of higher learning while representing CWI.
• Organizes the return of testing materials in a timely manner via surface mail, interoffice mail, and email.
• Adheres to the strict proctoring guidelines and standards of the National Collegiate Testing Association (NCTA) while enforcing the policies and procedures of CWI.
• Informs students of their placement scores and directs them accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent diploma.
• Strong cross-cultural, interpersonal and writing skills are necessary, including public speaking skills and the ability to represent the college in a positive way to diverse populations.
• Good technical troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
• Experience working in a community college setting, serving a diverse, non-traditional student population preferred.
• Experience with Ellucian Colleague ERP or other major ERP systems preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
