Empower Workforce Success as an Integrated Education & Training (IET) Teacher/Coordinator at CWI! 

Are you passionate about helping adult learners build the skills needed for career advancement while partnering directly with employers to address workforce needs? The College of Western Idaho (CWI) is seeking an Integrated Education & Training (IET) Teacher/Coordinator to design and deliver customized workforce education programs that support employee development, workforce readiness, and career pathway advancement. 

This position is located in Homedale, Idaho, and the instructional schedule is Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

In this role, you'll combine instruction, curriculum development, employer engagement, and workforce coordination to create responsive training solutions that meet the needs of both learners and industry partners.

Work Environment & Schedule: 

  • Position located in Homedale, Idaho 

  • Instructional schedule is Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

  • May require collaboration with employers, workforce partners, and community stakeholders 

  • Supports workforce training initiatives aligned with employer and student needs 

Workforce Training & Instructional Excellence: 

  • Design, develop, and deliver customized workforce education and training programs aligned with employer needs and regional workforce demands 

  • Provide contextualized instruction in English language acquisition, workplace communication, digital literacy, employability skills, and foundational academic skills 

  • Integrate industry-specific content into instruction to promote workplace success and career advancement 

  • Adapt curriculum and instructional methods based on employer feedback, workforce trends, operational priorities, and learner needs 

  • Utilize a variety of learning formats, including in-person, hybrid, remote, asynchronous, and workplace-based instruction 

Employer Partnerships & Workforce Engagement: 

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Adult Education and employer partners 

  • Conduct employer consultations, workforce assessments, and ongoing needs analyses to identify skill gaps and training opportunities 

  • Collaborate with business and industry partners to develop responsive workforce training solutions 

  • Build strong relationships with employers, workforce development partners, supervisors, and community stakeholders 

  • Support employee retention, advancement, and career pathway development through targeted training initiatives 

Curriculum Development & Program Innovation: 

  • Develop instructional materials, training resources, and learning tools that support workforce education programs 

  • Lead continuous improvement efforts related to curriculum design, instructional delivery, and workplace education strategies 

  • Support the development and implementation of Integrated Education and Training (IET) models and career pathway programs 

  • Incorporate industry trends, workforce initiatives, and emerging skill requirements into program design 

  • Provide leadership in instructional best practices and workforce-focused educational innovation 

Assessment, Outcomes & Compliance: 

  • Monitor participant progress, measurable skill gains, credential attainment, and training outcomes using workforce and educational data 

  • Evaluate training effectiveness and employer satisfaction to inform program improvements 

  • Maintain accurate records related to attendance, assessments, outcomes, and instructional activities 

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, grant, and institutional reporting requirements 

  • Prepare documentation and reports that demonstrate program performance and impact 

Collaboration & Strategic Workforce Development: 

  • Coordinate training schedules, instructional delivery timelines, and assessment activities with employer partners 

  • Participate in workforce partnership development, employer outreach, and strategic planning activities 

  • Collaborate with instructional teams, workforce partners, and community organizations to expand workforce development opportunities 

  • Stay informed on labor market trends, workforce development initiatives, and regional employment needs 

  • Support CWI's mission by creating educational pathways that connect learners to meaningful careers 

What We're Looking For: 

  • Bachelor's degree required 

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Adult Education, workforce training, ESL instruction, or a related educational setting 

  • Experience developing customized curriculum and delivering contextualized instruction for adult learners 

  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory and differentiated instructional practices 

  • Experience working with multilingual learners and diverse student populations 

  • Proficiency with instructional technology, online learning platforms, and digital workforce tools 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholder relationships simultaneously 

  • Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
