As an Administrative Assistant I in the Work-Based Learning Center, you’ll be the first point of contact for students and organizations. You’ll manage the main phone line and email, provide timely and accurate information, and guide students through the registration and training process.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure efficient and accurate communication for the Work-Based Learning Center
- Manage the main phone line and email, serving as the first point of contact.
- Provide timely, accurate, and professional information to students, staff, and partner organizations.
- Maintain smooth communication flow across multiple channels.
Support students and organizations through the registration and training process
- Assist with service requests, scheduling appointments, and resolving routine concerns.
- Provide basic advising, collect and escalate issues as appropriate, and address scheduling or billing conflicts.
- Deliver a positive, student-centered experience in every interaction.
Manage confidential records and administrative processes with integrity
- Handle sensitive information, including student files, records, correspondence, and billing.
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance in all recordkeeping and documentation.
- Exercise sound judgment by resolving routine questions and seeking guidance on non-routine matters.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent diploma
• One year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in
customer service, administrative, or collegiate settings preferred
• Experience using registration systems
• Experience working with Workforce Development Trade programs
• Must possess excellent customer-service skills in person and over the phone
• Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type
50 wpm
• Ability to interpret documents and manuals, such as safety rules and manuals, operating
and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals
• Ability to write original instructions, reports, and other routine business correspondence

*This position’s schedule may vary based on the College’s needs, including evening and weekend coverage. These adjustments may be ad hoc or permanent.
*Most positions at CWI are in-person and based on campus. All candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
