Position Title: Assistant Director-Student Success
Department: Student Affairs & Success
Term of Assignment: Continuing

FLSA Status:  Exempt = not eligible for overtime
Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm with occasional evening and weekend work required
Salary: Targeted Salary Range: $61,600-$66,200
Travel: Less than 10%
Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: Provides leadership to and assists with the management of the Student Success Department. Responsible for hiring, supervising, and training staff. Additionally, plays a key role in the development, implementation, assessment, and/or refinement of advising and student success initiatives. Directly responsible for managing various administrative functions of the department and for leading different advising or student success initiatives.

Required Education: Master's Degree

Required Minimum Work Experience: Three years of professional experience within academic advising, student success, or other work that relates to student affairs.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: Strong understanding of effective advising and student success practices.
Understanding of diverse, holistic needs of students and strategies for best meeting the needs of individuals and groups of students.
Ability to supervise, train, and lead staff.
Ability to develop collaborative relationships and build consensus with multiple stakeholder groups.
Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/programs and to delegate as necessary.
Ability to interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, staff, and outside constituents in a manner which positively reflects upon the division and the university.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and evenings.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications: Supervisory experience.
