| Perform skilled trades working in locksmithing and carpentry on University owned buildings and furnishings. The normal working hours are typically 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. However, may be required to work other times including evenings and/or weekends to include responding to emergency calls. If required by job duties, employee must be able to fulfill the University's requirements concerning issuance and use of University keys. Personnel who possess the special qualifications and training necessary for this position may apply. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Must obtain locksmith certificate and training within one year from date of hire. Completion of a carpenter apprenticeship or in lieu of completed apprenticeship, must have six years of full-time experience at journeyman skill level with experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial areas to include new framing, renovation, repairs, replacements, furniture installation, etc. |

| The Department of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position. Primary responsibilities include; preparing and delivering courses, utilizing effective methods that ensure that all course outcomes are met, and delivering courses in both a classroom and an on-line format. Advising students, recruiting students, developing industry relationships, developing curriculum, and serving on various committees within the department, college and the university. For in-person or hybrid teaching positions: Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. | Ferris State University is seeking a well-qualified and experienced applicant for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to serve within the School of Criminal Justice. The responsibilities will include teaching courses in the School of Criminal Justice program both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, the prospective faculty member will collaborate with faculty on curriculum development, perform academic advising, and serve on various levels of committee support of the University, College and Department. The candidate will also maintain regularly scheduled office hours, support a research agenda, and continue their professional development. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. Required: Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or related discipline. ABD will be considered. A terminal degree is required for tenure, in accordance with applicable tenure policy. Candidate will have at least five years’ experience in the United States Criminal Justice System. Candidate will have experience teaching at the higher education level. This candidate should demonstrate potential for effective, innovative instruction, communicate effectively and show evidence of continuing scholarly growth. |
