| Summary of Position: |
The Center for Student Involvement is seeking applicants for the RSO & Greek Life Specialist in the Center for Student Involvement in the Division of Student Affairs. The RSO & Greek Life Specialist provides support and acts as a resource for all Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) on campus, with special attention to Fraternities and Sororities. This position will advise and support student organizations across campus by providing ongoing training and resources; overseeing their general activities and assisting with event development and management; and providing leadership, accountability, and budget oversight, as well as supporting governing councils and fraternity/sorority chapters.
This position will report to the Associate Dean of Student Life. The RSO & Greek Life Specialist maintains a visible presence on campus, must be available to work hours outside the traditional workweek, and is actively engaged in creating and supporting student organization events and traditions. This position is primarily in-person.
The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F-1 EADs, OPT, H1B, etc.
Offers are determined based on a review of the candidate's qualifications, including education, training, experience, and internal pay equity considerations. The salary range for this position is aligned with Pay Grade 7.
Placement within the range will generally be based on the following factors: Entry-Range: Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and core requirements of the position. Mid-Range: Candidates with three or more years of directly related professional experience and demonstrate proficiency in the key responsibilities of the role.
Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's overall qualifications, experience, and alignment with the University's compensation philosophy in consultation with Human Resources. |

| Essential Duties/Responsibilities: |
Develop and maintain quality educational programs for members of student organizations focusing on leadership, risk management, social responsibility, financial responsibility, community service initiatives, and membership recruitment.
Mentor and assist students interested in starting a new Registered Student Organization (RSO) throughout the new organization process.
Develop and incorporate assessment into programmatic efforts to evaluate progress toward goals related to student learning and engagement.
Oversee and coordinate RSO Re-registration and RSO Officer Training.
Help current students find RSOs that interest them; this includes coordinating Bulldog Bonanza and Spring RSO Fair.
Assist in maintaining, developing, and implementing departmental policies, including the RSO Handbook and the Events and Travel Manual.
Serve as a risk manager for student and campus activities and student organizations.
Develop and assist with a variety of programming efforts for the Center for Student Involvement and the Division of Student Affairs, including Dawg Days and Admitted Student Open House. Some events take place during the evenings and weekends.
Serve as an instrumental liaison between campus and external partners, students, alumni, national offices, and other stakeholders regarding these priorities.
Develop and participate in programming hosted through the Center for Student Involvement and Entertainment Unlimited.
Collaborate with student organizations, Fraternity & Sorority Life chapters, and advisors to provide guidance, expectations, and support to chapter presidents, officers, alumni, and advisors through regular meetings and communications.
Provide support to the University’s four Fraternity & Sorority Life governing councils and maintain a visible presence with each council.
Provide program oversight for formal and informal recruitment periods, including marketing and programming efforts to increase awareness of Fraternity & Sorority Life amongst the student body and University community.
Coordinate educational and social programs in Fraternity & Sorority Life, such as the New Member Training, Sober Monitor Training, Greek Week, and officer and advisor trainings.
Attend monthly All Student Life Meetings. Serve on Committees within Student Affairs and the University.
Comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Serve as a Campus Security Authority and as a Responsible Employee as defined by Clery, Title IX, and Campus Policy.
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with university policies and applicable laws.
Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of information pursuant to university policies and/or state or federal laws.
Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty, and staff to thrive authentically.
Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.
