Job Summary
|
The Assistant Director of Inclusive Excellence is responsible for managing the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) grant and overseeing programs that support the academic success, professional development, and engagement of underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students in STEM and licensed professions. This position plays a vital role in promoting equity, access, and inclusive excellence by developing and delivering high-impact student support initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
|
- Master's Degree in higher education, social sciences, or related field
- 3 or more years related experience in student development, program management, or grant administration, preferably in higher education
Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.
|
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
|
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and data analysis skills
|
Preferred Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
|
- Experience managing a NYSED CSTEP or similar state/federal grant
- Familiarity with the needs of historically marginalized students in STEM and professional fields
- Demonstrated ability to develop and assess co-curricular programs

Starting Salary/Rate
|
Expected hiring range: $60,500 - $65,000
Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
