Purpose of the Position:

The Research Engineer I will conduct research in propulsion and support staff, faculty, and students in testing at PRC facilities.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Conduct research on nuclear thermal propulsion technology
• Support nuclear thermal propulsion testing in PRC and related facilities
• Support SOP and Safety Assessment of Test Operations

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related science
• 0-12 months of directly related full-time verifiable work experience (preferably with propulsion research or propulsion analysis)
• Experience with nuclear thermal propulsion and SOPs
• Excellent communication experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• U.S. Citizen (NASA Clearance)

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering
• Experimental testing experience
• Current verifiable experience in nuclear thermal propulsion

Published Salary (if available):

$25.47 (FTE=$52,977)
