As a Procurement Specialist at HBF, you’ll will play a key role in supporting the sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts for goods and services that keep HBF running smoothly. You’ll act as a trusted business partner, working closely with contract owners and managers to make sure we get the best value from our suppliers while complying with our procurement policies and regulations.

You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team that encourages development and growth and efficiencies and be part of an organisation that recently completed an exciting transformation, giving you new challenges and opportunities to grow your procurement expertise.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Advising teams on procurement processes while helping ensure compliance with internal policies and government regulations
  • Leading supplier evaluation processes, including running RFIs and RFPs, facilitating engagement with potential suppliers then analysing responses to recommend the best fit for HBF
  • Working with contract managers and our legal team to support contract negotiations and ensure agreements meet our standards and deliver value
  • Managing contract renewals and variations, keeping procurement records accurate and up-to-date
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in procurement processes and sharing your knowledge by mentoring colleagues


About you
You are a strong communicator who confidently takes the lead in supporting your stakeholders in negotiations and supplier evaluation processes while taking the opportunity to educate your peers on processes. Your previous experience in procurement and supply chain management, ideally with experience in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management will support your success in this role showcasing you as a procurement SME.

You display confidence with procurement software, data analysis, and reporting tools and are familiar with ERP systems and Procurement to Pay (P2P) processes. Previous experience or understanding of health, insurance or not-for-profit sectors would be advantageous but are not essential.
