As part of the Family Support Services (SE Qld) leadership team, the Clinical Mental Health Services Manager works collaboratively to create an inclusive and supportive workplace. You will be responsible for leading the delivery and enhancement of psychological and psychosocial mental health programs, including the Department of Social Services funded Family Mental Health Support Service (Starfish program) Primary Health Network funded Brisbane MIND4Kids psychological therapies and psychosocial support programs and yourtown’s Expressive Therapy program.

Your role will include:

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of the programs and direct line management of the MIND4Kids and expressive therapy teams
• Oversee the delivery of flexible, responsive services that meet individual and family needs and utilise infant, child, youth and family appropriate strategies including supported, supervised and risk assessed outreach and virtual service delivery
• Drive the development of group/family work and activities
• Undertake effective critical decision making to ensure the safeguarding of children and families
• Ensure the provision of quality wrap around care coordination tailored to the needs of children and families
• Program administration, reporting, compliance and continuous improvement
• Ensure delivery of service is consistent with yourtown mission and values and aligns with compliance frameworks and practices
• Develop and maintain community networks and contractual relationships

what we are looking for

You will lead through values to create a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace culture and integrated service response for children, young people and families.

You will bring:

• passion, commitment and belief in children and young people
• Post graduate qualifications in Psychology or Social Work
• Registration with AHPRA or Mental Health Social Worker accreditation
• Minimum of 5 years practice experience, including demonstrated skills in clinical assessment, case formulation and planning, case management, delivery of therapies, group and family work and capacity to provide culturally appropriate responses to children and families
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams
• Experience supervising the practice of psychologists, counsellors and other allied health professionals, managing performance and fostering a culture of ongoing development
• Experience in coordinating programs including administration tasks, managing budgets and monitoring contracts
• Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, and the ability to impart knowledge
