LCRA is looking for a Category Buyer to join our transmission supply chain team. In this role you will use your knowledge and experience to purchase services and materials that support electric power transmission in Texas, you will perform analysis to determine appropriate sourcing approaches, and you will collaborate with category managers and stakeholders across LCRA.

You will be trusted to:

- Purchase goods, services, construction, and equipment
- Conduct informal and formal solicitations
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Perform market analysis
- Drive value and mitigate risk for LCRA in performance of procurement activities
- Progressively builds skill to independently perform price negotiations for contracts
- Monitors the status of purchase orders and expedites as needed to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment

You qualify with:

Two or more years of experience in procurement, logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory management or other relevant experience.

You are a great fit with:

- Expertise conducting formal and informal purchases for goods/services
- Expertise administering existing purchase contracts
- Experience managing supplier relationships
- Experience establishing and managing stakeholder relationships
- Understanding of inventory management and control
