Looking for a self-motivated candidate with strong leadership skills to lead the Light Substation Maintenance department for the Eastern district. Supervise the day-to-day maintenance operations for the Bastrop, La grange, Shiner, Salem, and Corpus Christi zones.
You will be trusted to:
- Management for 1 to 7 leads, associated crews and/or support staff - Oversite and coordination of between 2 to 7 crews - both internal and occasional contract crews. Oversite includes hire, fire and discipline authority for members of those crews - Ensure that all reporting crews operate in an efficient manner. Including coordinating material deliveries, optimizing crew schedules, contacting external entities, and quickly escalating larger issues - Reports on status of assigned crews - Audit jobs both during and post maintenance jobs, ensuring that industry guidelines, regulatory requirements and company standards are followed - Responds to requests for technical and on maintenance support, technical applications, Financial Planning and Project Management/Development. - Responsible for the safety of maintenance staff, contractors and members of the public in relation to any project under his/her direction
You qualify with:
- Nine or more years of experience in electrical or mechanical equipment installation, maintenance or repair in a high-voltage environment or transmission line installation, maintenance or repair, or other relevant experience, including one year of leadership responsibility. A degree(s) in electrical power theory, electronics, instrumentation, controls, industrial or mechanical maintenance or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience. - Driver’s license
