LCRA is seeking a team member to join its Regulatory and Market Compliance team. As one of our analysts, you will be a part of LCRA’s continued success in maintaining compliance with the North American Electric Reliability (NERC) standards and ERCOT Operating Guides and Protocols. We are a growing team that integrates and engages with LCRA’s various departments to help develop resolutions and internal controls.

You will be trusted to:

- Serve as a key contact for LCRA business units for the various NERC and ERCOT compliance obligations.
- Ensure time-sensitive compliance activities and dates are met.
- Assist with maintaining and revising LCRA compliance program policies, programs, and procedures related to regulatory obligations.
- Partner with LCRA subject matter experts to periodically assesses the process and compliance framework for each of the regulatory standards and requirements to identify areas for improvement and enhancements.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
- Lead and coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Investigate, report, and oversee any potential instances of non-compliance.
- Prepare for, coordinate, and support compliance audits conducted by internal resources, consultants, or regulatory agencies.
- Maintain awareness of emerging utility industry issues through the participation in working groups, peer shares, and regulatory workshops.
- Solicit input from internal business units and subject matter experts and effectively communicate LCRA's position on proposed regulatory changes.

You qualify with:

- Nine or more years of experience in engineering, business analysis, project management, regulatory analysis or regulatory compliance or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in engineering, math, science, business administration, project management or other relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

You are a great fit with:

- Three or more years of experience regarding electrical power transmission, transmission system maintenance, or transmission system planning.
- NERC System Operator Certification
- Professional Engineer
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to share knowledge with others.
- An understanding of NERC standards, ERCOT Operating Guides and Protocols and compliance.
- Compliance audit experience.
- Experience leading concurrent multi-year, sophisticated projects.
- Knowledge of work management systems and reporting.
