For this role we are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our group as an Operations & Business Analyst. This role needs someone with strong financial, budgeting and analytical skills to join a small flexible team reporting directly to the Director of Business Performance. Our ideal applicant will have proven abilities in estimating, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting. Additionally, this person can articulate financial needs to business owners and guide others toward sound financial decisions. If you like visualization, you will love this role!
We use Oracle DV as the visualization tool to communicate both financial and operational updates to our business segments.
This position will also support strategic and scenario planning as well as operational improvement initiatives.

You will be trusted to:

- Provide strategic insights and recommendations for enhancing and developing new projects and programs to senior management.
- Ensure that strategic planning initiatives and projects are effectively implemented by forming teams to evaluate and implement.
- Perform business case analysis and/or feasibility analysis on multiple projects. Assist with research for, and development of, cost benefit analysis for a variety of initiatives.
- Support several Transmission departments through the budgeting and forecasting cycle.
- Develop data-driven insights for delivery to a senior leadership/ executive level audience.
- Apply creative problem-solving skills to strategic issues.
- Ensure appropriate records are maintained for budget requirements, management systems, policies and procedures.
- Participate in cross-training activities, cross-departmental sharing of knowledge and, when appropriate, cross-departmental developmental assignments.
- May develop and lead focused training as needed to support organizational needs and requirements.
- Perform onsite work at the LCRA TSC headquarters at least two days per week

You qualify with:

- Nine or more years' experience in capital planning, decision-making modeling, operations and maintenance planning, financial management, project management and strategic business support or relevant experience. A degree(s) in business, economics, engineering, finance, math, science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

You are a great fit with:

- Experience in visualization and reporting tools, i.e. Oracle DV, Microsoft BI, or Tableau
- Experience with an Enterprise level budgeting tool, such as Anaplan or Tagetik
