Are you passionate about helping others grow and develop in their careers? LCRA Transmission Learning and Development is seeking an entry-level Learning and Development Specialist I to join our team. You will work within the team to create, promote, and deliver learning, and development solutions. Our ideal candidate has strong and effective organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. You will be trusted to:

- Work with our team and department managers to understand unique business performance gaps and learning needs. Will assist leading collaborative efforts to develop ad hoc training solutions.
- Assist in designing, developing and delivering employee development, leadership development and compliance training programs utilizing best practices.
- Assist in managing a wide variety of day-to-day learning and development activities.
- Utilize learning management systems to administer training.
- Monitors and evaluates training programs to ensure maximum effectiveness.
- Ensures effective delivery mechanisms for learning solutions (e.g., classroom, web-based, blended learning).

You qualify with:

- Four or more years of experience in companywide and/or operational training and development programs or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in human resource management, business administration, or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver’s license

You are a great fit with:

- For operational areas, previous experience working in a technical industry and/or developing technical training.
- Experience in designing, developing, and delivering learning and development programs
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Skill in establishing credibility, trust, and partnership at all levels of the organization
- Advanced skill in applying best practices and new trends in a practical way that appropriately fits the organization
- Advanced skill in effectively partnering with leaders to design ad hoc/custom learning and development solutions
- Advanced communication skills, including verbal and written to all levels of an organization
- Skill in instructional design
- Skill in using learning management systems
