Water Quality Protection team is looking for an Engineering Associate with technical capabilities to support LCRA’s Water Quality Engineering & Planning program! The program implements water quality protection ordinances to protect the Highland Lakes through comprehensive plan reviews and inspections for new and improving developments and dredging projects. This position plays an important role in protecting the water supply for more than a million people. Our mission is to improve the lives of Central Texas, and our team is dedicated to service with safety as a top priority!
You will be trusted to:
- Comprehend and support the requirements of LCRA’s Highland Lakes watershed and dredging ordinances. - Review and recognize engineer drawings for site developments, utility improvements and other infrastructure improvements to include structural and non-structural water quality best management practices. - Coordinate permit reviews that ensure projects achieve compliance with LCRA requirements, to include field assessments and coordination with external project engineers. - Collaborate and interact with staff and customers on stormwater management and permitting issues.

You qualify with:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science plus one or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job. - Driver's license
