This Fleet mechanic role is essential to the success of LCRA's fleet team, ranked in the TOP 50 leading fleet teams in the country! In this role you will diagnose and repair challenging problems using your expertise. This is an opportunity to enhance your knowledge about high-quality operations while giving you the sense of accomplishment that comes from ensuring our employees and customers are safe while using heavy equipment. NOTE: This position will be Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm with overtime as workload requires.
You will be trusted to:
- Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs and maintenance on any and all fleet equipment. - Inspects, repairs, and maintains fleet equipment such as pool vehicles, on road diesel vehicles, tractor trailer rigs, portable generators/air compressors, and hydraulic tools and off-road construction equipment. - Performs visual, operational, and safety inspections as trained by unit manufactures, DOT, ANSI, OSHA, and LCRA standards. - Documents changes made to systems or equipment through appropriate communications and recordkeeping practices. Documents work in logs, files, system prints and other records and through communications, both oral and written, with other team members and supervisors.

You qualify with:
- Zero or more years of experience in mechanical or hydraulic maintenance, auto body maintenance, welding or metal fabrication on vehicles and heavy equipment, or other relevant experience. - Driver's license
You are a great fit with:
- ASE certifications with at least one relevant to job duties - And/or Mobile Hydraulic Mechanic (MHM) certification from the International Fluid Power Society - And/or Welding certification in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers' Shielded Metal Arc Welding standards (section IX, 4G) - Manufacturer specific certifications if directly related to daily job duties Number of Vacancies
