LCRA is looking for a Transmission Substation Electrician to join our team that maintains the crucial infrastructure of West Texas! As a member of our maintenance team, you will have the opportunity to travel across West Texas and Central Texas to various work sites (with travel accommodations provided). You will work with a skilled team and receive valuable training through on-the-job experiences as well as set training curriculum. You will be trusted to:

- Assist more experienced employees by performing routine installation, maintenance, repair and operational / diagnostic tests related to electrical craft.
- Observe and inspect equipment and structures to detect potential routine electrical issues (e.g., patrol of transmission lines) and assist in performing necessary operational and/or diagnostic tests.
- Participate in training to gain greater knowledge of procedures, tools and equipment operation pertinent to assigned work area. Learn to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics, manuals, parts lists, etc.
- May assist in performing low-voltage and high-voltage switching according to standard procedures and in coordination with System Operations.
- Perform work by traveling independently or with a small crew to various locations (substations, powerplants, etc.) as scheduled.
- Transport and learn to operate aerial bucket equipment (e.g., man lifts, jib lifts and bucket trucks), boom trucks, and/or other heavy equipment.

You qualify with:

- Zero or more years of experience in maintenance and/or construction of electrical power generation, transmission, distribution, substation and control equipment, and/or other types of electrical equipment, including experience reading blueprints.
- Driver’s license
