You will be trusted to:

- Establish direction, identify problems, and resolve issues related to delivery of the constructed project; develop action plans to remedy items where needed. Resolve conflicts with vendors, contractors, and project team members.
- Maintain heavy involvement with coordinating and scheduling of field teams and related resources, including quality control, site safety, schedule and cost control, vendors, and suppliers.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable construction and material contracts.
- Assist the Project Manager in providing input to contract bid proposals and bid evaluations as required. Partner with supply management to interview and select outside contractors and provides input to service agreements (contracts). Provide input regarding modifications, change orders and other impacts. Provide information to the Project Manager as needed to revise project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Ensure appropriate records are maintained related to the construction activities, providing project documentation, and tracking all changes to project parameters. Interface with project control staff.
- Maintain effective communications and interface with and between individual control work packages: resolve conflicts between interfaces; coordinate activities of project team and construction parties throughout project initiation, startup, execution, and closeout. Initiate prompt corrective action to get project back on track when necessary and monitor and report results of action.
- Provide strong technical leadership and serve as a planning resource for the construction work packages. Act as a liaison during the construction scheduling process between Construction and PMO.
- Approve or recommend approval of project expenditures and maintains budget focus.
- Travel independently or with a small team to construction project sites as needed.

You qualify with:

- Twelve or more years of experience in construction management relating to the area of construction specialization required to perform the job, including four or more years leadership or other relevant contractor management experience.
- A degree(s) in construction, engineering, project management or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

- Driver’s license
