As part of our Technology Strategy team, we’re looking for a Technology Strategist to help shape the future of technology at LCRA. In this role, you’ll collaborate with decision-makers to provide strategic guidance across our diverse operations. You’ll research emerging technologies, develop capability roadmaps, implement best practices, and lead cross-functional teams through technology and process assessments. This is your opportunity to apply your expertise in Enterprise Architecture across multiple domains—transmission, power generation, water, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and more.
You will be trusted to:
- Engage business partners to analyze needs, shape strategy, and prioritize technology solutions that deliver measurable outcomes. - Apply your expertise to enhance operational excellence and integrate capability planning and roadmaps into strategic initiatives. - Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement, assessing both business and technology capabilities. - Research and evaluate emerging technologies, analyze business use cases, and communicate findings to inform strategic decisions. - Foster partnerships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams, both in-person and remotely, building strong relationships inside and outside LCRA. - Connect with confidence and professionalism across all levels of the organization, including staff, leadership, and executives. - Track project progress, provide timely updates to partners, and support organizational change efforts to ensure smooth adoption.
You qualify with:
- Six or more years of experience in business architecture, IT change management, business process development, business systems analysis, or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in computer science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
You are a great fit with:
- Customer-centric approach aimed at resolving problems individually or as a part of a team - Knowledge of business architecture and analysis - Knowledge of IT and OT systems and infrastructure - Ability to form relationships, foster partnership, and lead cross-functional teams and projects - Advanced skill in MS SharePoint and MS Power Platform (IBM Maximo, Oracle PeopleSoft, or ServiceNow familiarity is a plus) - Ability to balance competing and high priority work demands
