LCRA is looking for a Credit & Risk Compliance Analyst to join our team. As a part of Credit & Compliance team you will contribute to oversight and Energy Risk Management (ERM) of our rapidly growing activities in the gas & power market. You will provide support activities to evaluate and monitor the ERM program's compliance with approved strategies and established control as well as ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our Commodity Risk Control (CRC) program. You will be trusted to:
- Assist in providing analysis of credit risk exposure with current and potential counterparties. - Support ERM counterparty onboarding and approval, including but not limited to financial statements analyses, reviews and credit limit setting, - Perform deal confirmations, monitoring, violations reporting and expected loss calculations. - Provide analysis to ensure compliance with approved risk management policy guidelines and procedures. - On a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis supports and/or provides analysis and reports on ERM program performance, including portfolio position reports, clearing broker reconciliation, liquidity usage and market forecast.
You qualify with:
- Four or more years of experience in finance or accounting or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in business, accounting, finance or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
You are a great fit with:
- General knowledge of energy trading and energy markets - Knowledge of financial statements analysis methodologies - Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint - Knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts - Understanding of market fundamentals including pricing dynamics on portfolio positions - Excellent organizational skills with a focus on prioritizing and coordinating workflow to meet deadlines given competing work demands
