Primary Purpose:

Performs functions related to front desk operations such as patient registration, payment receipt and accounting, and provides customer service within established quality assurance, HIPAA regulations, and compliance guidelines in accordance with NSU policy and procedures.

Hiring Range: 

Pay Basis:  Hourly

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Performs daily front desk operations including financial transactions related to Medicaid, Medicare, HMO and vision insurances for services rendered.
2. Resolves patient/customer complaints and concerns.
3. Generates necessary paperwork to correct inaccurate diagnosis and procedure codes to ensure accurate claims and maximize revenue collections.
4. Schedules patient appointments to ensure smooth patient flow and business operations.
5. Responds to internal and external inquiries and resolves complex problems requiring a broad understanding of policies and procedures.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: 

Required Certifications/Licensures: 

Preferred Qualifications:  1. Bilingual: Spanish/English; Creole Haitian/English.
2. Experience with Electronic Medical Record system
