Job Title: TEMP - Vehicle & Services Coordinator

Essential Job Functions: 1. Oversees maintenance operations of golf cart fleet by performing minor repairs and maintenance for Main Campus and satellite locations to ensure proper running order.

2. Transports fleet vehicles for preventive maintenance, dealer, and repair services to ensure proper running order.

3. Coordinates and oversees the registration of vehicles.

4. Coordinates pickup and delivery of golf carts.

5. Identify customer golf cart specific needs and request vendor quotes.

6. Educate customers on general safety rules and train drivers on the proper operation of golf cart.

7. Obtains and processes invoices related to golf carts and any other equipment.

8. Monitors vendor performance to assure that expenditure levels are in conformance with projections.

9. Perform visual inspections on landscaping and small engine equipment and report's findings to supervisor.

10. Inspects in ground diesel tank, records fuel usage and orders fuel.

11. Performs preventative maintenance on golf carts, trailers and make necessary repairs.

12. Performs other duties as assigned

Specific Requirements:

Available on call 24/7 for University emergencies.
Marginal Job Functions: 1. Assist with deliveries for Services Department.

2. Develops relationships with business units to support maintenance service of golf carts.

3. Participates with Hurricane preparedness before and after a storm.

4. Participates in the weekly supervisory callout schedule.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Ability to troubleshoot small engine problems and repair.

2. Ability to communicate effectively with others.

3. Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, supervisory staff at all levels and the NSU community.

4. Ability to express ideas effectively and concisely.

5. Ability to work effectively in a service-oriented environment and with frequently changing priorities.

6. Ability to follow through and carry out assignments.

7. Possess problem solving skills and sound judgment.

8. Ability to understand and apply University and Departmental policies and procedures.

9. Knowledge of proper and safe use of tools, lubricating chemicals etc.

10. Knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in area(s) of specialty.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

1. Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull a variety of tools, equipment and materials.

2. Must be able to safely lift 85 lbs.

3. Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch to gain access to wiring and equipment.

4. Handles a variety of hand and power tools.

5. Near-visual acuity needed to read equipment diagrams and inspect parts.

6. Depth perception, field of vision and color vision needed in fitting and installing parts.

7. Exposed to wet and very hot conditions.

8. Exposed to noise and vibration from operating machinery.

9. Must be able to lift any trade tools, material, and equipment.

10. Must be able to reach overhead.
Job Requirements:  
Required Certifications/Licensures: 1. Have and maintain a valid Florida Drivers License with no more than 3 points.
Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Major (if required):  
Required Experience: Three (3) or more years' experience troubleshooting and repair in automotive or small engine vehicles
Preferred Qualifications: ASE or Mechanical certification preferred.
