Essential Job Functions: | 1. Reviews department policies and procedures manual and strive for development of the program. 2. Develops a comprehensive recruiting plan. 3. Prepares a budget; maintain and control equipment and materials. 4. Upgrades team schedule. 5. Communicates travel needs to the Director of Athletics or the Assistant Athletic Director. 6. Assists Sports Information Director in the promotion of the program. 7. Works closely with Athletic Trainer to develop positive conditioning program. 8. Responsible for all coaching techniques and strategies. 9. Responsible for appropriate behavior and safety of team members. 10. Responsible for maintaining the quality of the facility during use. 11. Performs responsibilities on campus committee as assigned by director of athletics. 12. Hiring of assistant coaches with concurrence of the director of athletics. 13. Compliance with all NCAA and Sunshine State Conference rules and regulations. 14. Camps and clinics to be arranged with director of athletics as outlined in action plan. 15. To be responsible and abide fully with the NCAA's constitution, operating bylaws and administrative bylaws for the purpose of compliance, and which will be part of an employee's performance evaluation criteria. 16. Actively participate in fundraising and related special events in order to raise scholarship money and funds for the Athletics program at NSU. 17. Performs other duties as assigned. |

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: | |
Job Requirements: | |
Required Certifications/Licensures: | Must be certified in CPR and have a basic knowledge of first aid in the absence of an athletic trainer. |
Required Education: | Bachelor's Degree |

Required Experience: | Minimum two (2) years coaching experience at high school, college or professional level. |
Preferred Qualifications: | 1. Master's degree. 2. Minimum three (3) to five (5) years coaching experience at high school, college or professional level. |
