Essential Job Functions: 1. Oversees the specialist students in school psychology completing practicum placement within the School-related Psychological Assessments and Clinical Interventions (SPACI) clinic in all aspects of quality clinical care:
a. Ensures training of incoming practicum students in the specialist program in clinical intervention and psychological test battery administration; report writing; and Psychology Services Center (PSC) policies, procedures, and requirements for compliance.
b. Provides clinical supervision of practicum students in school psychology on at least a weekly basis concerning their cases, assists students with writing skills, reviews intake reports, and finalizes all relevant clinical documentation including biopsychosocial evaluations, psychological reports, treatment summaries, and discharge documents with assigned supervisees.
c. Provides crisis clinician coverage for SPACI during clinic hours and assists other faculty clinics as requested.
d. Is on call during the provision of all supervisee's telepsychology sessions.
e. Oversees SPACI evenings and Saturdays for specialist students in school psychology during the winter and summer semesters.
2. Serves in the role of faculty member for the school psychology programs:
a. Engages in decision-making for school psychology programs by participating in weekly faculty meetings.
b. Teaches courses as assigned in the school psychology programs.
c. Supervises and mentor’s student’s research.
d. Engages in student advisement and Annual Review.
e. Participates in student recruitment, selection, and interview process.
f. Attends orientation activities and commencement.
g. Focuses scholarly publications and presentations in the supervision and clinical training and supervision of bilingual students.
h. Supports the mission of the college by demonstrating flexibility in the scheduling of courses, supervision, and or other meetings.
i. Serves and contributes to appropriate department, college, and university committees.
j. Maintains a professional development plan to assure growth and currency within the academic field.
k. Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and/or Dean.
3. Leads the development and administers a bilingual certificate program in assessment and intervention.

1. Psychology - General knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; and learning and motivation.
2. Assessment – General knowledge of comprehensive psychological assessment procedures and psychological report writing.
2. Therapy and Counseling - General knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions.
3. English Language - General knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
4. Education and Training - General knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching, and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
5. Customer and Personal Service - General knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and professional services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of user satisfaction.

Abilities:
1. Deductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
2. Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing that there is a problem.
3. Inductive Reasoning - The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions, including finding relationships among seemingly unrelated events.
4. Information Ordering - The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
5. Interpersonal Effectiveness – The ability to work with students, clients, and other professionals of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and characteristics.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
1. Near Vision - Must be able to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
2. May be required to work nights or weekends occasionally. 3.Travel-Must be able to travel on a daily and/or overnight basis.
4. May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
5. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils, mobile devices, and computer keyboards.
Job Requirements:  
Required Certifications/Licensures: Licensed or license eligible as a psychologist or a school psychologist in the state of Florida
Required Education: Doctoral Degree
Major (if required): School Psychology or related field
Required Experience: 1. Minimum two (2) years’ experience in psychological testing and intervention.
2. Experience in working with children, adolescents, and their parents.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Recent knowledge of the NSU PSC operations, rules, and regulations.
