Primary Purpose:

Provides food and beverage service to club members and guests.

 

Job Category: Non-Exempt

Hiring Range: 

Pay Basis:  Hourly

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Performs and completes assigned side work tasks for opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth operation of services.

2. Provides immediate attention and service to members and guests to ensure a quality dining experience.

3. Coordinates food service involving communication between the kitchen and other staff to ensure prompt and accurate service.

4. Processes food and beverage checks for payment to ensure proper daily accurate reconciliation.

5. Follows all sanitation requirements, safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures as sanctions by state, local and Club laws.

6. Reports complaints and problems from members and guests to supervisor/manager immediately.

7. Checks identification of patrons to verify age requirements to purchase alcohol.

8. Maintains control of food and beverage checks involving credit cards and cash payments as standard operating procedures. Completes the required daily cash drop as part of the closing procedure.

9. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Must be friendly, personable and reliable.

2. Ability to communicate.

3. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop or bend for duration of an eight (8) hour shift.

4. Must be able to take orders and properly deliver to appropriate table(s).

5. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop or bend for duration of an (8) hour shift.

6. Knowledgeable in mixing, preparation and serving of drinks according to the established Club’s standard

Required Certifications/Licensures: Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire.

Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Major (if required: 

Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year in customer service experience..

Preferred Qualifications: 

Prior experience in a private club and/or resort.
