At DMU you will make a meaningful contribution to the dynamic future of Medicine and Health Sciences. DMU is seeking a faculty member to teach courses and/or advise students in the MPH and/or MHA program curricula. 

What you’ll do: 

  •  Teach online graduate courses in public health or health administration related to area of content expertise. Teaching courses includes preparation of the syllabus, preparation of learning materials (e.g., lectures, presentation, identification of appropriate readings / content), frequent and clear communication with students, strong faculty engagement and presence in the online course, responsiveness to student questions (via email or in the course site), and grading of assessments.  
  • Seek and evaluate innovative educational methodologies to improve teaching and learning activities.                   
  • Modify course content, assessments, and/or teaching style based on assessment results, professional development experience, and curricular mapping results.  
  • Participate in departmental course peer-review process.               

What we’re looking for: 

  • Faculty should hold the appropriate graduate degree, (e.g., MPH, MHA, MSHA, MPA, PhD, EdD, etc.) in public health or health administration or closely related discipline relevant to the department's academic curricula.  Master’s degree with professional experience or Doctoral Degree will be considered.  
  • Must be familiar with innovative teaching methodologies and effective student evaluation methods.  
  • Must be a member in good standing in appropriate professional organizations.
