Manager of Clinical Services Des Moines
The Manager of Clinical Services provides operational leadership and administrative oversight for outpatient clinical service lines within the university health enterprise, including Family Medicine, Osteopathic Manual Medicine, Foot & Ankle, Diagnostic Imaging/X-Ray, and future clinical programs. This role is responsible for optimizing clinic operations through effective scheduling, patient flow, staffing coordination, and workflow efficiency initiatives. The manager plays a key role in improving access to care, enhancing provider utilization, and supporting sustainable outpatient growth. This position functions as a working manager within a small, high-collaboration team environment and requires active engagement in daily operational workflows. This position reports to the Director of Clinical Operations & Strategy.
Associate Director Research Programs and Compliance West Des Moines
Under the general direction of the Director of Research Operations, Compliance and Strategy, the Associate Director of Research Programs and Compliance supports the coordination and administration of research services and compliance functions across the university. This position contributes to the development and implementation of research compliance initiatives, health and safety programs, and activities related to laboratory and animal facility operations. The role assists in ensuring adherence to federal, state, sponsor, and institutional requirements governing research activities, including IBC, Radiation Safety, IACUC and IRB. Responsibilities include participation in delivering compliance training, supporting risk mitigation efforts, and providing scientific merit and science-related review to assess protocol alignment with regulatory, safety, and institutional quality expectations.
Department Chair and Program Director - Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology West Des Moines
The Department Chair / Program Director for the Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences is a leadership role within the College of Health Sciences (CHS). This position is responsible for shaping and leading a doctoral degree program. Reporting to the CHS Dean, the PsyD Chair oversees curriculum development and program assessment, and engages in teaching and mentoring activities. The PsyD Chair is responsible for managing the allocation of faculty time, administering the program budget, and ensuring the educational and financial strength of the program The Chair represents the PsyD program within the College and University organizational structure.
Grants Manager - Research Development West Des Moines
The Grants Manager – Research Development plays a key role in supporting and advancing the University’s externally funded research portfolio. This position manages the full lifecycle of grants and sponsored programs under minimal supervision, including identifying funding opportunities, supporting proposal development and submission, managing awards, and overseeing post-award activities. Working closely with faculty and research leadership, the role proactively enhances the volume and quality of grant submissions. As a hands-on, faculty-facing position, the Grants Manager also serves as a liaison among principal investigators (PIs), sponsors, and university offices, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and sponsor requirements.
Global Student Experiences Specialist West Des Moines
This position is responsible for the direction and support of student experiences including volunteer efforts for students under the direction of the Director of Student Affairs and global health education opportunities under the direction of the Director of Global Health. The position manages global student experiences through the development and implementation of programs in collaboration with university administrators, community, and international partners.

Annual Security Report

In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, Des Moines University publishes an annual security report and makes it available to all current and prospective students and employees. The report contains a description of DMU’s safety and security-related policy statements and procedures and includes statistics of crimes reported over the past three years to DMU officials about incidents occurring on campus locations or nearby public property. The report also includes information about ways to stay safe and report security-related incidents.
