Physician Assistant Behavioral Medicine (.8 FTE) Des Moines
Provide high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care to adult patients within an academic behavioral health clinic under the supervision of a board-certified psychiatrist. Deliver comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management, and facilitate group medical visits as assigned. Contribute to the education and mentorship of health profession students while supporting a collaborative, patient-centered model of care.
Content Marketing Intern (Unpaid) West Des Moines
Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences is seeking an undergraduate Content Marketing Intern to support DMU’s strategic digital presence and execution across social platforms. This role is ideal for students interested in social media, digital content creation and storytelling — particularly within higher education and health care. The intern will contribute to digital storytelling efforts that elevate awareness of DMU’s academic programs, campus experience, community impact and institutional brand, while working closely with the Marketing and Communications team to support broader communications goals. The position is 4-6 hours per week or determined by student’s program requirements. The position is on-site and is eligible for academic credit, as the position is unpaid.
Clinical Adjunct Faculty, Instructor – College of Health Sciences, Doctor of Medical Science Program West Des Moines
Adjunct Faculty Member will teach courses in the Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) program curriculum.
Human Simulation Educator West Des Moines
The Human Simulation (HS) Educator participates in a wide array of activities associated with the HS Lab. They coordinate the logistical design of the event, working in collaboration with course directors to create or improve assessment and testing materials used in testing encounters. Train and educate Simulated Patients (SPs) for specific cases according to curricular requirements and standards of best practice. Ensure consistent training of SPs, monitor SP performances by completing quality assurance, provide appropriate and constructive feedback and coaching. Leads, coordinates, manages, and contributes to testing events, practicums, and other types of events taking place in the department. Provides support to the HS Lab Manager by assisting in recruiting, screening, and interviewing potential SPs.
Assistant Professor - Department of Primary Care, Division of Osteopathic Manual Medicine (OMM) Des Moines
Des Moines University seeks a faculty member in the Department of Primary Care, Division of Osteopathic Manual Medicine (OMM). Annual Security Report

In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, Des Moines University publishes an annual security report and makes it available to all current and prospective students and employees. The report contains a description of DMU’s safety and security-related policy statements and procedures and includes statistics of crimes reported over the past three years to DMU officials about incidents occurring on campus locations or nearby public property. The report also includes information about ways to stay safe and report security-related incidents.
