Physical Therapist Des Moines
Provide direct patient care to individuals with physical impairments and/or functional limitations in outpatient clinic setting. The physical therapist provides an evaluation and screening of all systems, coordinates a physical therapy program and provides treatment intervention within the DMU Physical Therapy Clinic at DMU32. Serve as a clinical instructor/preceptor for DMU clinical programs and job shadowing experiences. Provide education to patients/families, DMU and the community on the profession of physical therapy.
Assistant Professor Physician Assistant West Des Moines
Physician Assistant (PA) faculty work collaboratively with the Program Director, program faculty and staff, and other university departments to create and maintain an exceptional educational program for PA students. All PA faculty positions include teaching, scholarly activity, and service responsibilities.
Assistant Professor Specialty Medicine (.3 FTE) West Des Moines
This is a part-time (0.3 FTE, average 12 hours per week) academic position focused entirely on the education of medical students. There are no assigned clinical responsibilities with this role. Preference is given to applicants with medical or surgical subspecialty, radiology, or neurology training. The successful candidate will teach both specialty-specific content aligned with their expertise and more general undergraduate medical education topics across the preclinical and clinical curriculum. These duties span multiple aspects of medical student education and are well suited to experienced DO/MD candidates with a strong interest in teaching.
Assistant/Associate Director Research Programs and Compliance West Des Moines
Under the general direction of the Director of Research Operations, Compliance and Strategy, the Associate Director of Research Programs and Compliance supports the coordination and administration of research services and compliance functions across the university. This position contributes to the development and implementation of research compliance initiatives, health and safety programs, and activities related to laboratory and animal facility operations. The role assists in ensuring adherence to federal, state, sponsor, and institutional requirements governing research activities, including IBC, Radiation Safety, IACUC and IRB. Responsibilities include participation in delivering compliance training, supporting risk mitigation efforts, and providing scientific merit and science-related review to assess protocol alignment with regulatory, safety, and institutional quality expectations.
Practice Manager Des Moines
The Primary Care Manager will oversee the operations of the Primary Care Clinic, including Family Medicine, Osteopathic Manual Medicine (OMM), and any future service lines. This role is responsible for program development and strategy implementation, financial management, quality improvement, clinical excellence, patient and family experience, community outreach, partnership relations, and advocacy. The Primary Care Manager ensures efficient clinic operations, high-quality patient care, and alignment with the University’s broader health enterprise, including the Multi-Specialty Clinic, Student Health Center, and the MidAmerican RecPlex.

Annual Security Report

In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, Des Moines University publishes an annual security report and makes it available to all current and prospective students and employees. The report contains a description of DMU’s safety and security-related policy statements and procedures and includes statistics of crimes reported over the past three years to DMU officials about incidents occurring on campus locations or nearby public property. The report also includes information about ways to stay safe and report security-related incidents.
