About this position
Purpose is to complete three (3) units of Clinical Pastoral Education while providing ongoing spiritual care to the patients
Requirements
Education
• Master's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Theology, or Master's degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Divinity, or Master's degree in religious studies or related field.
Experience
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in professional caregiving or in providing caregiving within a similar capacity.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • One completed unit of Clinical Pastoral Education and admission to NMH CPE residency program • Basic knowledge of theology/spiritual care and spiritual assessment. • Previous demonstrable experience working within, or as part of, a faith-based congregation required. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar products • Ability to adapt to change, work with diverse personalities, cultures and faith traditions. • Strong spiritual care background with a basic working knowledge of theology, spirituality, interpretation of sacred writings, human behavior and spiritual care skills to allow engagement in spiritaula care encounters from which to develop increased skill and competence as a pastoral minister. • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. • Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's/family’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Licensure/Certification
Driver license issued by the state in which a Resident resides.

Salary Range: N08 ($16.98 - $23.45), based on experience
