At North Idaho College’s Children’s Center, we believe good food is the foundation of healthy development. We’re looking for a Cook who understands that preparing nutritious meals is an act of care - and who wants to make a meaningful impact in a place filled with laughter, learning, and lots of tiny smiles.
Each day, you’ll plan and prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for around 65 children and 15 staff, following USDA nutrition guidelines. You’ll keep the kitchen clean, organized, and welcoming, maintain clear records, and purchase supplies within budget. But more than that, you’ll be part of a supportive, purpose-driven team dedicated to nurturing young children and their families.
We’re looking for someone who communicates clearly, solves problems with care, and stays organized even when things get busy. You should be comfortable using a computer for basic tasks, able to follow instructions, and ready to jump in when something needs to get done. If you enjoy working around children and have a helpful, team-focused attitude, you’ll be a great fit here.
If you're looking for a steady, rewarding role in a community that values care and connection, this is your opportunity. Join us in feeding bodies and fueling futures—one meal at a time.
