North Idaho College is seeking a dedicated campus Security Officer to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, faculty, and visitors. This is a high-impact role where your calm presence and quick thinking make a real difference every day.
We're looking for individuals with strong conflict management skills and the ability to communicate effectively - especially in tense or emergency situations. A working knowledge of Idaho laws, criminal codes, and NIC policies is key, along with the ability to apply that knowledge with professionalism and good judgment.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable writing clear incident reports, managing multiple priorities, and working collaboratively with college staff and local law enforcement. You should be tech-savvy and able to use communications systems, incident tracking tools, and parking enforcement equipment with ease.
This role includes patrolling college property, responding to incidents, enforcing campus policies, and providing assistance to the public. It requires flexibility to work rotating shifts if needed, including weekends and holidays.
If you're service-minded, safety-conscious, and ready to be a steady presence in a dynamic learning environment, we invite you to apply and join our mission of supporting student success through campus safety.
