North Idaho College is seeking a dedicated TRIO Academic Advisor/Mentor Coordinator to support the academic success and personal growth of first-generation, low-income, and disabled students. This impactful role is part of the federally funded TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program, which empowers students to persist, graduate, and transfer by removing barriers to higher education.
In this multifaceted role, you'll advise TRIO participants on academic planning, career goals, financial aid, and the transfer process. You'll also support student recruitment, track individual progress, and provide targeted academic and personal support to increase retention and graduation rates. As coordinator of the TRIO Mentor Program, you’ll lead mentor recruitment, training, scheduling, and evaluation, while also overseeing mentor program materials and supporting the TRIO student club. The position includes collaborating with college faculty and staff, maintaining compliance with TRIO regulations, and participating in ongoing professional development and campus initiatives.
We’re looking for someone with strong written and verbal communication skills, effective interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to lead training sessions and presentations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of student records systems are required, as well as the ability to use standard office equipment.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years full-time related experience required.
Starting pay range: $35,638 - $42,766

Work Site Location: Coeur d' Alene Campus
Work Schedule: typical college schedule is Mon-Fri 7:30-5:00, Fri 7:30-2:30
**This 80% FTE position has reduced hours during summer, with pay and benefits continuing through the break
