If you’re passionate about helping older adults and adults with disabilities live with dignity, choice, and independence, join our dedicated team at the Area Agency on Aging. As one of our Senior Services Specialists, you’ll be a trusted guide for seniors, caregivers, and vulnerable adults seeking information and support. You’ll provide impartial information, assess eligibility for programs such as Home Delivered Meals and Respite Services, and help individuals explore self-directed care options. You’ll input and maintain client records in our statewide database, keep our resource listings up to date, and advocate for clients by connecting them with services that promote independence. You’ll also educate the public about available programs, elder abuse prevention, and adult protection services.
We’re looking for a compassionate problem-solver with excellent communication skills, a knack for navigating community resources, and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. You’ll thrive here if you’re organized, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable spending much of your day on the phone assisting clients. Strong judgment, confidentiality, and relationship-building skills are a must.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of two years full-time equivalent related experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience in direct service delivery to older and/or vulnerable adults is strongly preferred.
Starting pay range: $18.00 - $20.00
Work Site Location: Aging and Adult Services
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30-4:00
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check and proof of degree if required for this position.
