Join our dedicated team at a comprehensive community college and make a difference in students’ academic journeys! The Assistant Professor of Mathematics will teach developmental math courses each semester, helping students build foundational skills, increase college readiness, and achieve academic success. This full-time, tenure-track role may also include first-year experience and transition courses, as well as summer teaching assignments depending on enrollment needs. Teaching assignments will include Pre-Algebra, Elementary Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, and Preparatory Math.
In this role, you will design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction in developmental mathematics using both traditional and non-traditional delivery methods, including online and interactive video platforms. You will select appropriate learning resources, prepare syllabi and instructional materials, evaluate student progress, and maintain accurate grades and records. Advising students, mentoring adjunct faculty, participating in curriculum development, and contributing to departmental and college-wide initiatives are integral aspects of the position. You will also have the opportunity to participate in professional development and collaborate with community and educational partners to enhance student learning and success.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Mathematics or Math Education required. A Master’s Degree in Education, Student Development, or any of the content areas taught by the division, plus a Bachelor’s degree in Math, may be substituted. Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of students, faculty, and staff from multi-cultural backgrounds.
Starting pay range: $52,359 - $72,670

Work Schedule: This tenure track faculty position has summers off, with pay and benefits spread over 12 months!
