Help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and the community as a full-time Custodian at our beautiful lakeside community college. In this essential role, you’ll take pride in maintaining campus facilities through a variety of custodial and maintenance tasks that support daily operations and student success.
You’ll perform routine and deep cleaning duties, including scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; vacuuming and shampooing carpets; and cleaning restrooms, offices, classrooms, and common areas. You’ll dust and polish surfaces, clean windows and entryways, remove waste and recyclables, and ensure all dispensers are stocked. You’ll also assist with setting up and moving furniture for events and classes, operate cleaning equipment, and help maintain outdoor areas - including snow removal when needed. As part of the team, you’ll communicate via two-way radio, lock and unlock buildings, and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns.
We’re looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to high standards of cleanliness. You should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with the ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a customer service mindset are important. The ability to safely operate equipment, respond to concerns, and contribute to a respectful, supportive campus environment will set you up for success.
If you take pride in your work and want to make a visible impact every day, we encourage you to apply.
