As an Assistant Professor/Clinical Coordinator - Radiography Technology, this position supports the success of Rad-Tech students while helping ensure the program maintains high-quality instruction and meets the standards of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
The role coordinates clinical education with classroom learning, develops relationships with clinical partners, supports qualified preceptors, and oversees clinical skills labs, student assignments, and evaluations. Teaching responsibilities include preparing and delivering engaging courses, evaluating student learning, advising students, and incorporating assessment results to strengthen instruction and curriculum. The position also contributes to accreditation activities, program review, outcomes assessment, curriculum development, recruitment events, and interprofessional education with other Health Professions and Nursing programs.
We're looking for an experienced radiography professional who brings strong communication, teaching, and organizational skills to a collaborative academic environment. The ideal candidate understands current radiography practice and can translate professional knowledge into effective classroom and clinical instruction. Strong presentation skills, comfort with technology and online instructional tools, and a commitment to student learning are essential. Success in this role also requires the ability to build productive relationships with clinical sites, community partners, faculty, and students while maintaining high professional and accreditation standards. Professional development and staying current in both radiologic technology and educational practices are important parts of the role.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology is required. A Bachelor’s degree in another health related field may be considered only if an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology from an approved school of Radiologic Technology has been earned.
• Two years of full-time equivalent experience as a radiography technologist is required.
• One year of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program or institution is required at the time of hire.
Required License and/or Certifications:
Must have a valid driver’s license. Must hold an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists current registration or equivalent in radiography or equivalent license for the state of Idaho.
*Alternate Qualification Pathway
Candidates who hold an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology and meet the remaining minimum qualifications may be considered for an Acting Clinical Coordinator appointment at a lower salary column while completing a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field. The Bachelor’s degree must be completed within two years of appointment. Upon successful completion of the Bachelor’s degree, the employee would be eligible to transition to the Assistant Professor/Clinical Coordinator tenure-track position and receive the corresponding salary adjustment.
North Idaho College does not have a vaccine requirement. However, many of our nursing and health professions, are subject to federal or local hospital vaccine requirements.
Starting pay range: $82,629 - $113,251
