Job Summary
The Chief Data and Institutional Effectiveness Officer (CDIEO) is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the governance, management, and utilization of data across the university. The CDIEO ensures that data is leveraged to support institutional effectiveness, student success, academic planning, and operational efficiency. The CDIEO will lead efforts to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and security while fostering a data-driven culture across academic and administrative units. This role leads the University Data Analytics Unit and collaborates with senior leadership, faculty, and staff to align data initiatives with the university’s strategic goals, including student success, research advancement, and operational optimization. The CDIEO will also monitor operational data and alert the CFO and university leadership about emerging trends and patterns that impact the effectiveness of institutional priorities.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$215,000 - $230,000
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in data management, analytics, information governance, or institutional research, preferably in higher education or the public sector.
3. Demonstrated experience in building and implementing enterprise data strategies and governance frameworks.
4. Exceptional communication, project management, and change leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in data science, information systems, higher education administration or a related field
2. Experience with data analytics, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
3. Demonstrated experience with leveraging data to inform institutional strategy, planning, and effectiveness
4. Familiarity with higher education data systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Canvas) and experience with accreditation processes
Work Hours
The position works in an ever-changing environment that requires adaptability and prompt decision making. Occasional weekend and evening work may be expected.
