Job Summary
The Department of Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality is one of 15 departments within the Division of Student Affairs. It provides the campus community and guests with high-quality, efficient, and innovative event services and dining options in a variety of settings dedicated to accentuating and enhancing the campus experience in a diverse community.
This position plays an integral role in EMDH by contributing to the fiscal management of the department through a variety of accounting tasks such as processing data, monitoring and reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$19.16 - $23.29 per hour
Required Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Any one or combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the categories below:
A. Course work in accounting, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 9 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
B. Course work in any discipline as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
- Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen (18) months
- 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
C. Work experience in bookkeeping, office support, or closely related experience.
3. Two (2) years (24 months) work experience in bookkeeping, office support, or closely related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Knowledge of basic accounting principles, methods and terminology.
2. Extensive knowledge of bookkeeping procedures including databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
3. Ability to work quickly and accurately with cash and figures.
4. High level of proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets.
5. Demonstrated ability to use independent judgments and initiative.
6. Accuracy, dependability, and clear written and spoken communication skills are essential.
Work Hours
8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions.
