Job Summary
The Technical and Accounting Assistant I will provide support to the management area of the Financial Aid Office as a customer service representative, and a Technical Assistant for the America Reads/America Counts Program (ARAC). This position could provide support to the front desk of the counseling area.
Duties will include creating, maintaining and updating forms, payroll spreadsheets, monitoring tutor group chat entries and other duties as assigned.
This position will provide support to the Financial Aid Office in general. Duties will also include collecting and updating statistical data, reviewing reports, verifying data entry/building awards in the Campus Solutions system; initiating and responding to correspondence from parents and student borrowers via phone, e-mail and mail; assisting students and families with scholarship searches; assisting with requests for verification of student awards.
This position is for the spring semester, through the summer session and the next academic year.

Pay Rate
$15.50/hour - $16.50/hour
Required Qualifications
A minimum GPA of 2.6; the ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing; attention to detail and dependability are required. Applicants must be eligible for Federal Work Study funding each academic year.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess excellent math or accounting skills and will be proficient with technology. Microsoft Office applications are strongly preferred. Preferred candidates will be fluent in Spanish.
Work Hours
10-15 hours per week. Work hours are between 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
