Job Summary
TechZone, a department of Illinois State University, provides sales and service resources to ISU affiliates. TechZone employs student workers for both Sales and Service, with an emphasis on strong customer service.
Job responsibilities can include:
-Recommend laptops and other technology solutions to students, faculty/staff, and retirees based on their needs
-Conduct point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently
-Answer incoming sales calls and provide basic product information and support
-Stock, organize, and maintain sales floor inventory

Must have full availability from June 3, 2026 - July 17, 2026
Preferred Qualifications
Strong customer service skills are the most important aspect of this role.
Working technical knowledge of computers, peripherals, and accessories is preferred.
The ideal candidate would have a willingness to learn on the job, work well in groups, and is self motivated.
Work Hours
10-20 hours per week.
TechZone's normal semester hours are Monday - Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm, Saturday 10am-1pm. Hours will be scheduled during those times around the students' class schedule.
TechZone summer hours are 9am-4pm Monday - Friday, with a requirement to work during Preview Sessions (June to July).
