Job Summary
General customer service and reception duties for this position can include: filing and handling mail, making copies, restocking supplies, coordinating the retrieval of materials and items from other campus locations, data entry, cleaning labs and other department spaces.
The position also involves initiating and responding to correspondences from parents, students, staff, faculty, and other individuals on campus via in person, phone, and email communication.
Other duties include: Participating in, organizing, and assisting with all aspects of varying departmental activities or events, which may fall outside 8am-4:30pm. Assisting and leading, with some direction, departmental social media efforts on varying platforms and performing other duties as assigned.
Students in this position will need the abilitiy and willingness to learn new social media platforms. Students in this position will aslo need the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. For this position, the student will need a strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

Pay Rate
$15/hour
Required Qualifications
-Proficient with social media platforms
-Familiar with digital design (e.g., Canva)
-Ability to design aesthetically pleasing promotional materials
-Intermediate proficiency with office technology (email, calendars, document sharing, printers, excel, Word, Microsoft Office suite, etc.)
-Able to work a set schedule each semester with a minimum of 10 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications
-FCS student
-Ability to work in the summer and over breaks
Work Hours
A minimum of 10 hours per week.
The work hours are between 8:00am and 12:30pm, Monday through Friday.
