University High School at Illinois State University is hiring a Social Science Teacher. Candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in World Studies and US Studies. University High School is a service unit of the College of Education of Illinois State University. It offers a comprehensive program of instruction for 600 students in grades 9-12. This unique school acts as a laboratory for 21st century educational innovation and research. The mission of the school is to provide a site in which excellence in education theory may be connected to practice. Extracurricular duties may be assigned.

The certified teacher of visually impaired students works with students with visual impairments that attend their home school and other educational sites. The vision itinerant teacher will provide direct services per the IEP process to students with an identified visual impairment, serve as a resource to school personnel, evaluate students referred through appropriate channels, and promote interest in and an understanding of the implications of a visual impairment. This position will be responsible for supporting the preparation of future educators by collaborating with ISU and hosting pre-service teachers.
