We're looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People and Brand team and play a key role in attracting and securing great people across Afford. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the full recruitment lifecycle, building strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates, and finding creative ways to connect great people with meaningful work.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior People Partner, you'll manage end-to-end recruitment across a diverse range of roles, working closely with leaders across the organisation to understand their workforce needs and deliver high-quality recruitment outcomes.
You'll be involved in everything from developing compelling job advertisements and proactive sourcing through to shortlisting, interviewing, selection and onboarding. You'll also contribute to employer branding and recruitment projects that improve the overall candidate and hiring manager experience.
This role is based at our Parramatta Head Office with hybrid working – two days in the office and two days from home. The role can be worked across four days (7.6 hours per day) or five days, depending on what works best for you.
What you'll do
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for individual and volume recruitment campaigns.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and provide recruitment advice.
- Develop engaging job advertisements and recruitment campaigns that attract quality candidates.
- Proactively source candidates through internal and external databases and other channels.
- Build talent pools and develop creative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles.
- Provide guidance to managers on shortlisting, interviewing, selection and best-practice recruitment.
- Prepare and issue employment contracts and related recruitment documentation for successful candidates.
- Identify recruitment and retention challenges and recommend improvements to the recruitment process.
- Champion a positive and inclusive candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
- Maintain accurate recruitment information and ensure required documentation and compliance are completed.
- Contribute to People team projects, process improvements and initiatives.
- Support Afford's commitment to inclusion, diversity and a values-led workplace.
About You
You'll be an experienced recruiter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong stakeholder relationships and finding the right people for the right roles.
You'll be confident managing multiple vacancies and priorities while providing a high level of service to hiring managers and candidates.
You'll bring:
- At least 3 years' experience in Talent Acquisition or recruitment.
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, offers and contracts.
- Strong candidate sourcing, engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and high-volume recruitment.
- Excellent written skills and the ability to create clear, engaging recruitment content.
- A customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruitment systems.
- A genuine commitment to working in a purpose-driven organisation.
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel between Afford sites as required.
Desirable
- Experience recruiting within the disability, community services, healthcare or not-for-profit sector.
- Knowledge of the NDIS environment.
- Experience with volume recruitment and/or hard-to-fill roles.
- Experience supporting diversity and inclusion recruitment initiatives
Pre-employment requirements:
- Working with Children Check (WWCC) – or willingness to obtain.
