- Professional Officer Grade 1/4 – Salary from $73,522 to $141,206 per annum plus super and leave loading
The salary offered to the successful candidate will be commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience, as outlined in the Crown Employees (Department of Regional NSW) Professional Officers Award and the Professional Officer Progression Criteria (1-4)

About the Role
Are you passionate about biosecurity and eager to make a positive impact? We are seeking dedicated individuals to fill the various roles of State Priority Weed Coordinator by creating a Talent Pool. In this crucial position, you will play a pivotal role in reducing the adverse economic, environmental, and social impacts of invasive weeds in NSW. Your efforts will focus on leading and developing programs for state priority weeds, preventing the establishment of new species, and facilitating the eradication and containment of high-risk weeds.
About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- Degree qualification in Science, Agricultural Science, Natural Resources, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership in developing collaborative weed management or natural resource management programs.
- Technical expertise in weed management, with experience in preventing new weed incursions and/or managing established weed threats.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills for effective partnerships.
- Project management and/or policy experience.
- Current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel to remote locations stays.
