About the Role

As a Senior Land Services Officer - Natural Resource Management, you’ll be delivering integrated advisory services that help rural landholders and communities navigate both the challenges and opportunities of landscape management. You’ll lead the design and delivery of key programs and projects, contribute to strategic planning, and build strong partnerships with landholders, stakeholders, and community groups.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver natural resource management advice and programs
  • Lead and mentor small project teams across your local area
  • Develop strong partnerships to tackle complex landscape and productivity challenges
  • Support emergency preparedness and response efforts in collaboration with local stakeholders
  • Shape and implement strategic priorities that align with local and state plans

 

What We’re Looking For

You’re a relationship-builder, project leader, and natural problem-solver with:

  • A degree in agriculture, environmental science, natural resource management, or similar – or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong project management skills and a knack for navigating complex policy, planning, or landholder needs
  • The ability to work collaboratively across teams, agencies, and with the community
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation (like the Local Land Services Act or Biodiversity Conservation Act) or the willingness to learn
  • A current NSW driver licence and readiness to travel throughout your region
