About Us

Local Land Services (LLS) is an Executive Agency within the Department of Regional NSW. It provides quality, customer-focused services to landholders and the community across New South Wales. This regionally based organisation brings together a wide range of service and advisory functions including agriculture, biosecurity, natural resource management, land management, biodiversity, emergency services, private native forestry and management of Travelling Stock Reserves (TSR).

About the role

As the Land Services Officer, Land Management, you will work closely with rural land managers to provide advice on the management of native vegetation in an agricultural setting in Western NSW. You will undertake both desktop & field assessments to investigate the interaction of activities with threatened species, Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and more.

About you

We’re looking for people to join the team – people who are passionate about rural land management and are keen to make a difference by working with landholders to deliver land management outcomes.

To be successful in the role you will need:

  • Previous relevant experience and/or qualifications in Land Management, Natural Resource Management and/or Agriculture,
  • Ability to provide timely, accurate advice to our customers and to interpret legislation,
  • Knowledge of native vegetation and sustainable agricultural practices relating to land management,
  • The ability and willingness to travel to perform field work such as inspections and assessments in remote locations,
  • Demonstrated interest in native vegetation management and/or agricultural productivity projects,
  • A genuine interest in natural resource management and rural industries,
  • Ability to work from one of the specified locations and undertake field-based work as required.

Must have a driver’s licence and be willing & able to travel and ability.
