The Opportunity
This role provides communications support across a range of priority projects, including government initiatives, emergency response, and behavioural change programs. You’ll contribute to the planning and delivery of communication strategies and create high-quality content across multiple channels.
What you’ll do
- Support the development of clear, engaging and compelling science-based communications across internal and external channels
- Support major communication strategies, helping to inform and shape public perception and build stakeholder trust
- Provide support during emergency responses where required, and are willing to work outside of core business hours during these events
- Bring digital platforms to life—managing web and developing engaging social content in line with NSW Government standards
- Lead and coordinate content projects, including the migration of the biosecurity website and content audit
- Collaborate across teams to deliver consistent, effective messaging—even under tight deadlines
🎯 Key skills and attributes that we're looking for
- Strong writing and editing skills—comfortable switching between executive briefings, social media, web content and speech writing A sharp eye for detail and brand consistency
- Experience managing content across digital platforms (web, intranet, social)
- Confidence in managing competing deadlines and stakeholder expectations
- Collaborative spirit—you thrive in a team environment, possess a can-do attitude, are reliable and willing to step-up when needed
